Skovby Furniture
Skovby was founded in 1933 in the small village of Skovby in Denmark by Thorvald Rasmussen. Skovby means “wood
town” in Danish and we make wooden furniture in an eco-friendly way.
Our focus on contemporary design and development of dining tables with smart self storing extension leaf systems gives Skovby a unique position in the market.
The Skovby production takes place at three factories in Denmark with a total of 325.000 sq. feet of manufacturing space and a work force of 200 people.
Today the company is still owned and run by the Rasmussen family - third generation of genuine craftsmanship
converted into innovative and flexible solutions.
